Michael has worked in film and television post production for over fourteen years. During his time in post, he has worked with a wide range of influential artists including: Seth Rogen, Dr. Dre, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Michael's most notable credits are assistant editing on Apple TV's Black Bird and editing Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark.

Growing up, Michael watched his father develop black and white photography in a darkroom he constructed in their basement. And his mother's paintings hung on every wall of their home. Michael was in awe of his parents' ability to tell an entire story with a single image and was inspired to find an outlet for his own creativity.  

His career as a logger for MTV's The Real World in 2010. Since then, he's worked on all types of content from commercials to documentaries, to feature films and television shows. In 2024, Michael founded Over Easy Productions with his wife and fellow filmmaker, Lauren Stava. The pair's latest short film, My Little Hobby, a mockumentary about the competitive world of hobby horsing, was just selected to premiere at the Lady Filmmakers Festival.
